Hey, Glen here – Bali photographer, still replaying that quiet, electric afternoon in the studio. Some days the work feels less like a job and more like a conversation between light, fabric, and the person wearing it. This intimates campaign for King Trading Bali was exactly that: intimate, trusting, and full of subtle power.
King Trading (PT King Trading) has been one of Bali’s quiet powerhouses since the early ’90s – a full-service manufacturer in Kerobokan specializing in premium ladieswear, swim, activewear, and yes, beautiful intimates. They handle everything in-house with a real commitment to quality, sustainability (eco fabrics, tax-free imports via their bonded facility), and exporting to brands worldwide. When they asked for an intimates campaign, we aimed for something elegant and real – not overproduced, just honest confidence in pieces designed to feel as good as they look.
Then there’s Caitlin North Lewis (@caitlinnorthlewis). Bali-raised (born right here in Denpasar), now splitting time between London and the world, she’s this incredible blend of island roots and global presence. At 23, she’s already built a strong career as a model and actress – repped by agencies like The Four Models, De Boekers, M&P Models, and others, with credits in Netflix’s Dear David (2023), Paranoia (2021), and more. Caitlin has that rare, effortless grace: dark hair, striking features, and a quiet self-assurance that makes every frame feel personal. She’s warm, professional, and completely present – the kind of collaborator who makes you forget the camera is even there.
We kept the studio setup simple and soulful: soft, diffused lighting to wrap her skin in a gentle glow, a neutral textured backdrop, and just enough space to move freely. Caitlin in delicate lace sets, silk slips, and subtle lingerie pieces – poses that were strong yet soft, close-ups on intricate details (lace edges, smooth straps, the way fabric drapes), full-body silhouettes that celebrated form and confidence. We played with natural window light for a few shots, letting Bali’s warm afternoon spill in and add that golden, lived-in feel. No heavy retouching, no forced drama – just her natural beauty meeting high-quality intimates in their best light.
The images came out feeling empowering and intimate: timeless, sensual without trying too hard, and perfectly aligned with King Trading’s reputation for premium craftsmanship. They’re ready for client presentations, lookbooks, or whatever comes next – but more than that, they capture a moment of real connection.
Days like this remind me why I love shooting in Bali: the light is generous, the people are genuine, and every once in a while you get to create something that feels quietly powerful.
