Hey, Glen here – Bali swimwear photographer, and Pandawa Beach is hands-down my favorite spot on the island. That dramatic row of carved limestone cliffs (the five Pandawa brothers from legend), powdery white sand, turquoise waves crashing in, and those lush green hills framing everything – it’s cinematic, secluded, and always delivers magic light. No wonder it’s where we chose to shoot the stunning international model Alexandra Pletnyova for the luxury European brand NOÌRE Swim recently.
NOÌRE Swim (noire-swimwear.com) is a Bucharest-based label that’s all about fierce, confident luxury. Handmade in Romania with premium Italian fabrics, their collections mix classic one-pieces, trendy bikinis, and bold designs – think lustrous satins, snakeskin effects, ruched details, and pieces that celebrate self-expression, comfort, and sophistication. It’s boutique-inspired swimwear that feels unique, versatile, and empowering, always evolving with trends while staying timeless.
Alexandra Pletnyova is a total powerhouse: the tall (5’10½”), light brown-haired, brown-eyed Russian beauty repped by METRO Models and DNK Models. With her striking features, effortless poise, and that magnetic presence (she’s often based between Bali, Switzerland, and beyond), she brings a level of confidence and grace that elevates every frame. Shooting with her feels collaborative and electric – she just gets it.
For this capsule collection, we went full creative: wide-angle lenses to capture the epic scale of Pandawa’s cliffs and ocean horizon, making the swimwear feel part of the landscape. Strong, dynamic poses – powerful stances against the rocks, flowing movement in the breeze, arched backs and elongated lines to highlight NOÌRE’s cuts and fabrics. The golden-hour light was unreal: soft morning glow for dreamy skin tones, afternoon sun popping the colors on shiny bikinis and one-pieces, and that late Bali sunset turning the whole scene warm and cinematic.
We played with the beach’s natural drama – Alexandra commanding the space, wide shots pulling in the towering cliffs and endless sea, close-ups catching the texture of premium fabrics against sun-kissed skin. It was pure tropical energy: effortless, bold, and full of life. The images showcase NOÌRE’s luxury vibe in one of Bali’s most iconic settings – perfect for their site, socials, lookbooks, and inspiring confident beach days.
