Capturing Bali Magic with Local Star Caitlin North-Lewis at Villa Zyloh, Uluwatu
Hey, it’s Glen – your Bali-based swimwear and fashion photographer. Every now and then, a shoot just clicks perfectly, and this creative bikini session with the incredible Caitlin North-Lewis was one of those days.
Caitlin, born and raised right here in Bali, brings that effortless island energy mixed with her actress poise (you might know her from Netflix’s Dear David or other projects). As a Bali-raised model with striking features and natural confidence, she’s been a favorite collaborator for years – we’ve done beach shoots in Nusa Dua, Pandawa, and more, but this time we went for something elevated and artistic.
We chose the luxurious Villa Zyloh in Uluwatu as our location – perched on the cliffs of Bingin with stunning ocean views, modern Mediterranean design, infinity pools, and those dramatic white rock walls that add texture without stealing the show. The villa’s clean lines, lush greenery, and golden Bali light made it the ideal spot for a creative, high-end bikini shoot.
The vibe? Playful yet sophisticated: we focused on creative posing, natural movement, and letting the swimwear shine against the villa’s luxe backdrop. Soft morning light for glowy skin tones, sunset hues for drama, poolside reflections, and a few artistic angles with the ocean horizon. Caitlin owned every frame – her ease in front of the camera turned simple bikinis into something fresh and captivating.
Shooting with a local talent like Caitlin adds that authentic Bali soul: she knows the light, the vibe, and how to move with the island breeze. The results feel personal, empowering, and perfect for swimwear campaigns, editorials, or portfolios.
