Hey, Glen here – Bali-based fashion and swimwear photographer. Just finished another smooth, elevated ecomm session for the beautiful Australian label ELCE Swim with the stunning Bali-based model Aisha Katerina, and we mixed it up by shooting both digital and 35mm film in my private studio.
ELCE Swim is a thoughtfully designed, conscious Australian women’s swimwear brand founded in Sydney. Led by Laura Sheather and Tara Mitchell, they create elevated bikinis, one-pieces, and resortwear using premium, durable fabrics that prioritize fit, quality, and longevity. Aisha Katerina brought her signature radiance: natural glow, confident posing, and that easy island energy she’s known for (with her strong Bali presence and collabs across fashion). She’s always a joy to shoot with – we kept the vibe light with good tunes, quick breaks, and fresh coconuts.
In the studio, we focused on clean, shop-ready ecomm essentials: multiple angles, front/back views, close-ups on straps, cuts, and hardware, plus subtle movement shots to showcase how the pieces fit and flatter. We captured everything digitally for precision and speed, then switched to 35mm film for select frames – adding that organic grain, rich colors, and authentic analog texture that gives the images a premium, editorial edge while still delivering commercial quality.
The blend worked perfectly: crisp digital for online retail needs, and warm film shots for a timeless feel that aligns with ELCE’s conscious-luxury ethos. The final assets are ready to elevate their site and help customers visualize the collection in real life.
