Another Layer of Timeless: Ecomm Studio Session for ELCE Swim with Aisha Katerina on Film & Digital

Hey, it’s Glen – back in the studio with that quiet hum of satisfaction after a really solid day. There’s something grounding about these repeat collaborations; you know the rhythm, the light, the way the model moves. This time it was another e-commerce run for my favorite conscious Aussie label ELCE Swim, shooting with the ever-radiant Aisha Katerina right here in my private Bali studio. We mixed digital precision with 35mm film for that extra soul – because why not give the collection both worlds?

ELCE Swim, designed in Sydney, keeps things thoughtful and built-to-last: elevated bikinis, supportive one-pieces, and resort pieces in premium fabrics that prioritize fit, quality, and real-body confidence. It’s conscious swimwear with a touch of audacity – timeless essentials that feel luxurious without the fuss, perfect for poolside escapes, travel, or warmer days anywhere. Their pieces just feel good, and that’s the story we aim to tell through the images.

Aisha Katerina is Bali magic in human form. Based right here on the island, she’s got this effortless glow, quiet strength, and that natural ease in front of the lens that makes every frame feel alive. We’ve worked together enough now that the day flows like a conversation – good music on low, fresh coconuts chilling, a few laughs, then straight into the zone. She’s professional, warm, and always brings her A-game; it’s why she’s become a go-to for brands that want authenticity.

We kept the setup clean and focused: seamless white backdrop for pure product shots, soft even lighting to reveal every texture and seam, plus a couple of natural window setups to add subtle warmth and depth. Digital captured the crisp, shop-ready essentials – front/back views, close-ups on straps/hardware/cuts, subtle movement to show how the suits sit and flatter. Then we switched to 35mm film for select looks: that gentle grain, rich color depth, and organic feel that gives ecomm images a premium, almost editorial edge. Loading the camera, metering by eye, composing with intention because each frame matters – it slows everything down just enough to make the process meditative.

The results? A beautiful blend: digital for fast turnaround and technical accuracy, film for that tactile, human warmth that aligns perfectly with ELCE’s conscious, lasting ethos. The collection looks elevated, approachable, and ready to inspire real women to feel confident in their skin.

These hybrid shoots are becoming my favorite kind of day – technical meets artistic, commercial meets creative. Huge thanks to Aisha for her effortless energy (as always) and to the ELCE team for trusting the analog twist again.

If you’re a swimwear brand hunting for “ecomm photography Bali,” “35mm film swim shoot,” “conscious Australian swim visuals,” or clean, authentic studio work that sells while feeling real, let’s chat. These sessions are proof that quality and soul can coexist beautifully.

More from this one rolling into the portfolio soon.

Stay inspired (and shoot film when the mood strikes),
